Pioneer Steel is a family owned and operated steel plate cutting business located in NE Oklahoma.

Larry McIntyre started Pioneer Steel in 1976 after retiring from a professional hockey career as a Toronto Mapleleaf.  He identified an opportunity in the business of steel plate burning, resulting in the creation of Pioneer Steel, Inc.

​

His son, Brett McIntyre, began working for Pioneer Steel in 1995, after graduating from Oklahoma State University. Brett brings with him an appreciation of technology and a strong business sense.

The father/son duo meld traditional business values with modern technology to result in the best possible product and personal attention their customers deserve. 

 

Larry's daughter, Christa Harris, has joined the team after wrapping up a career in teaching. She brings both bookkeeping expertise and attention to detail, to make it truly a "family" business.
